Hello there fans! It has been a really long time since I last posted. I have been quite busy with my new job and so I haven’t had much time to work on this site. BUT, I finally found some motivation today! Part of my “non-existent” motivation actually has a lot to do with the topic that will be discussed today which will be on brain fog.
I have written an article on brain fog before and you can read more about it here. In short, brain fog is the uncomfortable feeling you get from being spaced out. You could be sitting down ready to perform a task but try as you might, getting yourself to concentrate seems next to impossible! As a result, you might call it a day, take the day off and begin again tomorrow! That just seems like the natural response right?
However, the next day comes, and you find yourself having the same experience. Is this normal for one to experience? Is this what aging feels like?
Causes for Brain Fog
There are quite a number of experiences we go through that can lead to brain fog. Some of them are more noticeable than others but the most common reasons are:
- Nutrient deficiencies
- Fluid deficiencies
- Insufficient sleep
- Stress (chronic)
- Lack of exercise
- Taking various medications (and experiencing the side effects)
We may be aware of these things and we try to take care of our bodies. Still, the brain fog may continue to persist! For some time, I thought it was due to my age and that there is not much that one can do about it. Fortunately, I was wrong!
Supplements for Brain Fog

You can try a supplement called Alpha Brain. You might have learned from my other article that our brain produces various wavelengths and an insufficient amount of one type would indicate that some part of the brain is lacking something. One of those waves is the alpha wave which is responsible for passive focus/learning.
In the brain fog state, if you try really hard, you can sometimes still concentrate but it sure does take a lot of effort. Unfortunately, even for things that should have been autopilot, those type of cognitive tasks can be difficult as well. Things like remembering names and recalling certain events or information can be challenging.
With alpha wave production, you would be able to remember names and recall events much easier with no effort and Alpha Brain will help with that. In addition to the mental clarity, it will also help with reducing stress.
How Does Alpha Brain Work?
Alpha Brain contains several active ingredients like:
- L-Tyrosine and L-Theanine – known for promoting healthy levels of serotonin and dopamine which are the “feel good” chemicals in our bodies that also help with memory and recall
- Alpha GPC and Bacopa – known for promoting acetylcholine production which is the chemical responsible for our nerve cells to communicate more effectively
- Phosphatidylserine – also known for promoting acetylcholine production
- Huperzia Serrata – known for inhibiting the substance (acetylcholinesterase) that breaks down acetylcholine (the body does need to turn off at times, but not when we need it to work)
- Oat Straw Extract – known for improving brain blood flow
Other Therapies for Brain Fog
Although Alpha Brain is probably the best supplement for improving cognitive functions, it should never replace activities like:
- Listening to Binaural Beats
- Taking vacations
- Getting a massage
- Taking time off work
- Taking many breaks
- Getting regular exercise
- Quality sleep
A combination of these with Alpha Brain would lead to better improvements in brain health and reduction of brain fog.
Having consistent brain fog is actually not normal and you do not have to live with it! There are many tools that can help you like binaural beats and even supplements like Alpha Brain! Hopefully you are open-minded to these tools as I was. Perhaps you will begin to see a light at the end of the dark tunnel!
